U.S. ARMY JROTC
The Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) at Edcouch-Elsa High School is a program offered at the high school level and teaches students character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity. It is a cooperative effort between the Army and the high schools to produce successful students and citizens, while fostering in each school a more constructive and disciplined learning environment. The goals of the JROTC program are to teach students to:

Act with integrity and personal accountability as they lead others to succeed in a diverse and global workforce

Engage civic and social concerns in the community, government, and society

Graduate prepared to excel in post-secondary options and career pathways

The mighty Yellow Jacket Battalion led the Edcouch-Elsa School District and Student Body in (9-11 Remembrance Ceremony on Yellow Jacket Drive... It was fantastic how supportive the School Administration, Faculty, Staff and Student Body acknowledge how well the battalion of cadets was organized on such a special day.

This is our "Annual 9/11 Rememberance" Day
The Edcouch-Elsa Mighty Yellow Jacket Battalion ensures that our school and community never forgets the tragedy of September 11, 2001. It was a day that will live in infamy and our hearts and prayers go out to all the men and women who payed the ultimate price on that day and those that continue to live with the heart ache of losing someone close to them.
